Opening of Annual Open Art Exhibition

The Annual Open Art Exhibition is always a popular event in the Festival calender. Artists compete for the honour of receiving the Penicuik Turner Prize for the best art work in show. This year the prize will be judged by Damian Callan and will be announced on Sunday the 13th September at 3.00pm. For the Midlothian Science Festival 2017, the West St Arts Centre is hosting an exhibition of posters showing one of the largest and most ambitious Earth observations projects being coordinated by ESA, with satellites and sensors being built in the UK and across the EU, as well as some wider international collaborations.
