Michelle Dierx

Sunday, September 8, 2019 @ 14:00 - 15:00

Michelle qualified as Batchelor of Music from the Royal Scottish Conservatoire in Glasgow in 2018. She is already gaining a considerable reputation as a performer. She appeared locally in Eastgate Theatre in Peebles as part of the Patron’s Concert where she played Debussy’s violin sonata in G minor with accomplishment and sensitivity. What could be better for a Sunday afternoon treat than hearing delightful music surrounded by the paintings of the Open Art Exhibition?

With Michelle will be Liivi Arder.

Estonian pianist Liivi Arder holds the Sam Hutchings Fellowship at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She plays regularly with chamber ensembles such as Daniel’s Beard.

They will play:

Beethoven – Violin Sonata No. 5 in F Major, Opus 24 (“Spring Sonata”)

Prokofiev – Violin Sonata No 2in Dmajor Opus 94a

Tickets are £12 (£10 for PCAA members) available from the cafe at 4 West Street or on line by clicking HERE
