ArtSparks is a group if youngsters who meet every Friday afternoon in West Street Arts Centre for fun with art. Teacher, Alison Tait, is on hand to help them.

PENFEST this year has set out to explore other cultures. As part of this, on Saturday the 10th Sept, ALBA FLAMENCA, an all-singing, all-dancing flamenco group, had hoped to be performing in the Town Hall. This obviously captured the students’ imaginations and they have produced some very lively and colourful images. These can be seen in the cafe of the North Kirk throughout the festival.

Hopefully all the young artists can come to revised Show on Saturday with the Indian Dance group Ihayami Scotland, and can create art works from that, too!

If you want to find out more about ArtSparks, or would like to join the group, contact Alison at
